If you are eligible to take part, you will receive an email with more information about the study and what you need to do next. Any information you provide will remain completely confidential and will not be shared with anyone except the researchers of this study.
App or Website? You choose how to take part in the study
There are two ways to take part in the study. You can choose whatever way suits you best and you feel most comfortable with, the tasks you will complete are the same regardless of the method you choose. There is no advantage or disadvantage to either way of participating, it is all about what you think would be the most convenient for you, and your level of confidence with technology.
The first way you can take part in the study is to complete it via a website. You will receive email reminders when a task is ready for you to complete. You will press a link in the email, and it will take you to a safe and secure website where you will complete each part of the study.
This is a great option for people who usually use their phones to text, make phone calls, email, and browse the web.
The second way you can take part in this study is by using an app called ExpiWell. It works best if you download and install the app on your phone but can also be installed on a tablet or iPad. You will receive notifications via the app when a task is ready for you to complete.
This is a great option for people who are pretty tech-savvy. It works well for people who already use quite a few different apps, and are familiar with downloading and updating apps, and receiving notifications via apps and following them to the app.
How to get the App
Remember, you only need to download the app if this is the way you would like to complete the study. If you would prefer to receive email reminders and complete the survey via a website, you do not need to download the app.
